OCTOBER + NOVEMBER WORKSHOPS

All the following sessions will take place at Fabrications on a Sunday, 2-4.30pm. Each session costs £20 / £15 conc. and includes a kit with everything you need for the class and yours to keep afterwards as well as tea + biscuits!



Sunday 12th October : INTRODUCTION TO SPINNING + BIG KNITTING
this session will be led by Sue Russell, who will show plying then how to create your own wool on a drop spindle. There is also opportunity to try out Sue's spinning wheel.

Sunday 19th October : BEGINNERS KNITTING
Getting started with Barley Massey. Learn how to cast on, knit + pearl stitch, introduce a new colour and of course cast off!

Sunday 26th October : QUICK KNIT SCARF / SHRUG / WRAP AROUND
walk away from Fabrications wearing your own designer item! Focusing on using Sue Russell (Wool-n-Boat) GIANT knitting needles and french knitting stools there will be a heap of inspirational chunky yarns and materials to create with.

Sunday 2nd November : CROCHET
An introduction for beginners or a refresher / ideas class for existing crocheters. Rachael Matthews straightforward and fun approach will inspire you! Rachael is the co founder of Cast Off and author of 'Knitorama' and 'Hookerama', which are on sale at Fabrications.

Sunday 9th November : BEGINNERS KNITTING
getting started. Learn how to cast on, knit + pearl stitch, introduce a new colour and of course cast off!

Sunday 23rd November : INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED KNITTING
Another session led by Rachael Matthews. It's tailored to what YOU! want to learn be it reading patterns, increasing + decreasing + shaping, colour + motif work, lacey knitting to name a few ideas. Plus everyone attending gets to benefit from each others learning wishes!
