Newham council for inviting Fabrications to run 2 workshops in the Craft + Hobbies tent at the recent
Newham mayor's show. What fun! We make friends with the
East Ham model railway club, and enjoyed facilitating a frenzy of crafting activity, attracting all ages and abilities.
Our giant french knitting wheels and needles came out to play. We had
pre prepared balls of chunky multi plied yarn (from odd balls, boot sale finds, random cones etc) on the trusty wool winder, so people could make scarves and take their creations home
We showed people how you can make a bag out of an old t-shirt, which were sourced from
Newham based family recycling business
LMB. Then personalise it with a pick n mix of braids,
haberdashery, sequins, buttons....The people of
Newham were so creative.
