This month's mend was brought to us by Nathalie. She has had this eiderdown packed away for some time now as it's been spitting feathers! It was her great grandmother's.
One of the holes was quite large!
Katherine May got to work on it, suggesting hexagon shaped patches - a nod to traditional patchwork quilts.
Using vintage silk scarves to create the patches. She's done a wonderful restoration job and brought a new lease of life to Nathalie's great grandmother's eiderdown.
