What goes around comes around....

Even if there is a few tens of years between!

On Saturday I was going through Fabrications collection of knitting patterns through the ages available to buy at 50P, when I noticed with delight this 2-ply feather stitch twin set pattern. It felt like I had been reunited with a much loved friend.

Here I am with my hand knitted 2-ply jumper purchased from Paul Goby's fantastic vintage clothing stall on Broadway Market a couple of years ago! I wonder who made it? I love their own take on the pattern too with the introduction of an extra stripe and a slight change of colour!

Hello – what a lovely reunited story – how unique – seeing your post reminded me that I recently posted pictures of knitting patterns I own from the 1940’s on http://debrafied.blogspot.com/2011/04/vintage-1940s-knittng-patterns.html, I love the images so much I just wish I had the kitting know how, although I am loving loom knitting, inspired by a recycled kit I bought from your shop which I also blogged about on http://jewelucia.blogspot.com/2011/02/fabrications-barley-massey.html which was very creative inspiring for me– so thanks and staycreative!

Hi Debra,
Thankyou! And just enjoyed reading your blog too! I tried to comment on it but it didn't seem to want to work. I am collecting customers stories for my blog, it's so inspiring to see evolving creativity in action! I would love a few jpegs to use about your story of what you've created after buying one of my 'Rethink rubbish' rosette kits - what do you think?
